Greetings Monk!
Noticed your Hawthorne update. According to ESPN he's probable to start, but as you said, he may see limited playing time.

Would you recommend starting Nick Barnett in his spot, just in case?

Thanks!

You definitely can't go wrong starting Barnett this week. KCs knows they can run on them and that will be their plan all day with Cassell still hurting from a cracked rib.

Hi Monk!

Who would you start in place of Hawthorne?

ILB Nick Barnett vs KCC
ILB Demeco Ryans vs IND
ILB James Farrior vs BAL
ILB Paris Lenon vs CAR
ILB Daryl Washington vs CAR
ILB Bradie James vs NYJ

Thanks for the Help!

sit Hawthorne this week?

Jon,

Absolutely sit Hawthorne if you have all those other choices.

My gut off your list is to start Farrior because he's always owned Baltimore and if your league awards 4 or more point for a sack, I like him. Some risk there if he doesn't get a sack.

Barnett might be your safest for tackle heavy leagues because KC will run on Buffalo and Cassell has that cracked rib.

I also really like Daryl Washington against the Carolina running game and with a sack while Newton holds the ball too long trying to go through his progressions.

I would start any of these guys above Hawthorne this week due to the limited reps they may have him on.

Demeco Ryans will also be on limited reps this week as well coming off injury.

Hi Monk,

First time commenter but been a fan of your blog for awhile now. Need to start 3 LB's out of the following 4:

Willis vs SEA
Laurinaitis vs PHL
Barnett @ KC
Maualuga @ CLE

Leaning towards benching Barnett but I don't really feel good about it. What do you think?

Cheers,
Eddy
