Ruud, Ray Edwards, Bradley, Landry, Marshall - IDP Fantasy Free Agent News

Trying to keep up with all the latest IDP Free Agency Moves:

Barrett Ruud LB Titans - Yummy for IDP as your low end LB2. Could be a value pick or a name people pull the trigger on too soon in drafts. You'll just have to watch and see in your drafts.

Shaun Smith DT Titans – Not huge news for IDP, but adds to Ruud's value and could be a waiver wire pick for DT required leagues.

Daniel Manning SS Texans – I don't expect Daniel Manning to replace Bernard Pollard in the IDP world. But for those who get return yards in thier leagues, Manning may be your number one pick this year.

Alan Branch DT Seahawks – Branch probably won’t be a full time starter. The interesting thing to note about the Seahawks defensive line is they led their team in tackles last season.

Brandon Mebane DT Seahawks – Still not sure how their going to use him or Alan Branch yet so no IDP value to report yet.

Justin Durant LB Lions - Not draft worthy, but watchable for IDP wire.

Eric Wright CB Lions – Just a "blah" move for IDP who might have some waiver wire value after the season starts, but not draftable.

Nate Clements CB Bengals - Waiver wire IDP at this point, but solid "real life" pickup for Cincy

Kelly Gregg NT Chiefs – Now this could be sneaky value pick in IDP leagues.

Ray Edwards DE Falcons – I'm not drafting him for IDP. I believe his strongest asset was always Jared Allen being such a threat on the other side. Let someone else draft him. His name and numbers from last year will get him drafted sooner than I'm willing to take him.

Stewart Bradley LB Cardinals – This puts a real damper on my favorite sleeper Paris Lenon for IDP, but does make Bradley an interesting value pick if he falls in the drafts.

Richard Marshall CB Cardinals – Wow, I think I like this for IDP. Once again, another Cardinals pick that dampens my man crush I had on Greg Toler, but with Patrick Peterson on the other side, Richard Marshall will be targeted a lot and we could see "Greg Toler" like numbers out of him.

Dawan Landry S Jaguars – I’m not in love with this situation for IDP fantasy purposes. I think he was in a better situation with the Ravens. I'm seeing him at free safety, but if he ends up being the Jags strong safety, I'll revisit these thoughts.

Kevin Burnett LB Dolphins – Lining up opposite Karlos Dansby on the inside, Burnett could have some serious value, but I'd feel better about getting him off the waiver wire than drafting him.

Roman Harper SS Saints – Harper should remain a top twenty defensive back for IDP fantasy leagues.

Zac Diles LB Rams – Diles will be the Rams starting weak-side linebacker. Diles has shown flashes of IDP greatness for the Texans, so he may be a waiver wire wonder at some point this year for IDP fantasy leagues.

Al Harris CB Rams – Don't be fooled by the big name. I think he's just for depth at this point in his career. No IDP value here.

Justin Bannan DL Rams – This is good news for James Laurinitas who I like a lot this year.

Cullen Jenkins DT Eagles – This not only improves Jenkins IDP value, but also the MLB for the Eagles. I was really excited that that was Jamar Chaney, but Casey Matthews started at MLB in Eagles practice, while Chaney played SLB. We'll have to keep a very close eye on this situation.

Good Work Monk! One question, who would you rather have on your fantasy team.. LB Chaney (Phi) or Casey Matthews (Phi)?

Fade - I'm really hoping it ends up being Jamar Chaney as he showed glimpes of IDP greatness. And I have to believe it will be Chaney with such a short training camp and the leadership abilities he showed last year. So I'd rather take the risk on Chaney. If these rumors keep up, he could be a super sleeper that really drops in drafts and you can pick him up for a steal.

Hey Monk is there a chance you could get rankings for all defensive players? Also could you help me with who to keep this year. Pick the four best options I am only able to keep a total of four players no more than 2 at any position.(LB)Poz,Bishop,Rudd,Derek Johnson,(DB)Weddle,Whitner,Chung(DL)MarioWilliams,Shaugnessey,Rubin. The scoring is basic scoring sacks, tackles, assist tackles,PD,INT,etc. My one free keeper who was a rookie that doesnt affect my keepers was TJ WARD. lucky me right!!
Thanks as usual and hopefully you will have time to do a rankings list!
