ESPNs Adam Schefter writes "In a pre-draft blockbuster trade, the St. Louis Rams have agreed in principle to send the second overall pick in this year's draft to the Washington Redskins for three first-round draft picks and a second-round pick, according to a source in Cleveland familiar with the terms of the deal."
You can't say the Redskins aren't making an effort here. That's a high price for sure but it can be tough to put a value on a franchise guy like Robert Griffin III.
The question now is if Shanahan knows how to utilize a running quarterback. He doesn't have the best track record with these types of QBs. He tries to make them all into pocket passers and the Redskins simply do not have a good enough offensive line to give a pocket passer enough time to throw. Should be interesting to see who the Skins get in free agency to compliment their new franchise QB.
