Byes: Cardinals, Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Seahawks, Titans
Immediate Pickups
Linebackers
(Some LBs to point out who were on this list last week and should no longer be on your Waiver Wire are NaVorro Bowman, Rolando McClain, Ray Maualuga, Donald Butler, Daryl Smith and Wesley Woodyard, Thomas Howard. If they are still on your wire, pick up those guys before anyone listed below.)
James Farrior (ILB, Pit) – Was he dropped in any of your leagues due to his very weak start? If so, get him back for the next few weeks while James Harrison is out with an eye injury. He gets Jacksonville Week Six, whom have been very friendly to inside linebackers. Farrior showed with his 9 solos, 4 assists and a pass deflection in Week Five that he’s still got what it takes to be an elite LB. He’s your highest IDP to target if available.
Gary Guyton (OLB, NE) – He showed that he is the primary backup for Jerod Mayo by leading his team in the box scores Week Five even though the Jets have not been known as an LB friendly team so far this year. He should have an even better game against the very “linebacker friendly” Bengals Week Six.
Jo-Lonn Dunbar (SLB, NO) – Dunbar’s new full-time position went well as he out produced Jonathon Vilma in the boxscores in his first outing and could do so again Week Six vs. Tampa Bay, who has been favorable for LBs. Don’t expect much more than 6 solos, but he’s a solid LB4.
Defensive Linemen
(Some DLs to point out who were on this before and should no longer be on your Waiver Wire are Kyle Vanden Bosch, Phil Taylor, Ahtyba Rubin, Derrick Morgan, Andre Carter, Greg Hardy. If they are still on your wire, pick up those guys before anyone listed below.)
Brian Robison (DE/LB, Min) – Robison may not be on your waiver wire, but if he is, you’ll want to add him immediately as he’s coming off his second 2 sack game of the year and facing Jay Cutler and the very easy to sack Chicago Bears Week Six. He’s your highest DL priority.
Aldon Smith (DE/LB, SF) – Smith now has 4.5 sacks in his first 2 NFL games that he’s played in. He’s an incredible athlete and as long as he is a DE in your league, he’ll be a fantastic add as your starting DL.
Michael Bennett (DT, TB) – His 4 solos Week Five vs. San Francisco was what we needed to see as a follow up to his 5 solos and 2 sacks he put together vs. the Colts Week Four. He gets Drew Brees Week Six, who continues to be vulnerable to the sack, and the Buccaneers should come out fired up after their embarrassing Week Five loss to the 49ers.
Defensive Backs
(Some DBs to point out who were on this list before and should no longer be on your Waiver Wire are Morgan Burnett, Dashon Goldson, Jon McGraw, Eric Smith, Sean Jones, George Wilson, Reggie Nelson, Charles Godfrey, Jordan Babineaux, Justin King, Husain Abdullah and Lardarius Webb. If they are still on your wire, pick up those guys before anyone listed below.)
Jason Allen (CB, Hou) – For the second week in a row, Allen gets an INT and over 8 solos. He’s your highest priority DB this week.
Nate Allen (S, Phi) – His 10 solos and 2 assists Week Five vs. Buffalo should be a preview to the way the Washington Redskins will play them Week Six. The Bills & Redskins have similar offenses and the Redskins will attempt to repeat the same game plan Buffalo used to defeat the Eagles Week Five.
Charlie Peprah (S, GB) – He’s been on our watch list for 2 weeks in a row because he had just enough tackles and one fairly lucky INT tip in Week Four. However, he proved in Week Five that he belongs in the pick-up column by leading his team in tackles and a very nice interception where he intentionally tipped the pass back to himself.
Captain Munnerlyn (CB, Car) – The Captain has been on my personal watchlist all year and now that he’s facing the Falcons passing game Week Six after putting up 6 solos and a sack vs. the Saints Week Five. It’s time to add him to your roster.

Whats your opinion on L. Timmons? Is it time to let go of last years stats and drop him?Im pretty solid at lb but I dont want to drop him if you feel he is primed to blow up....Thanks monk you always have the best info..
Long live Al!!!
Hey Monk- As a matchup play this week, who do you think has the most upside: Sensabaugh from Dallas, Allen from Philly, or Landry/Atogwe from Was?
Thanks, and keep up the good work!
I like Nate Allen. Watch out for Kenny Phillips against Buffalo. Allen had 13 TT last week. KC's Jon Mcgraw had 8 TT week 1, Raider Tyvon Branch had 8 TT in week 2 Monk, above you list Guyton vs the Bengals this week, but NE plays Dallas.
Also after Dan Connor's flop last week against the Saints, I'm not sure if I trust Mason Foster. Am i wrong not too?
@ Long Live
Timmons has to get it done this week or else you just have to move on i think
I think LaRon Landry scores the highest out of any IDP guys this week
I agree with liking Kenny Phillips, but Deon Grant is the sneaky one to slip in your lineup as well
Dan Connor came out of the game a ton due to package subsitutions. That won't happen to Foster
Hey Monk,
Who do you like the rest of the way:
Daryl Washington, Donald Butler, James Anderson.
Thanks!
xK
Why so high on James Anderson? Not that I'm doubting you or anything :)
